Natural-Farming Kayabuki Rice
Our Commitment to Rice Cultivation
Just as our homes shape our daily lives and well-being, the food we eat plays a vital role in nurturing our bodies and minds.
For the Japanese people, rice is more than just a staple—it’s the very foundation of our culture and health.
However, modern agriculture often relies heavily on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, which we believe diminish the natural energy once inherent in rice.
That’s why we grow our rice using traditional, natural farming methods—entirely free of chemicals or fertilizers. This approach allows the rice to absorb the true vitality of nature.
Our focus is not on yield, but on quality. We harvest only about one-fifth the volume of conventional farming, but we believe this is what rice is truly meant to be.
The result is rice that’s gentle on the body and rich in natural energy you can truly feel.
In addition, we practice a sustainable farming cycle: the rice straw we harvest is used in our thatched roofing work, and the old thatch is returned to the fields as natural fertilizer. This circular system allows us to grow rice in harmony with both people and the environment.
The rice we cultivate resonates with both body and spirit—it is not merely food, but a vital source of life and well-being.
We invite you to taste the difference for yourself. We believe you’ll sense the true energy of the rice and the care with which it was grown.
The Power of Nature, Felt Through Rice
The late Dr. Kazuo Murakami once said,
“Rice has more cells than humans, and they’re even more complex. That’s why the Japanese people, who eat rice as a staple, can help save the world.”
We believe that the rice we grow carries that same kind of energy.
Through this rice, we hope you’ll feel a natural vitality—restoring your health from within and reconnecting with the rhythms of the Earth.
